Canela liqueur originated in Italy when Queen Catherine de Medicis, on a visit to the country, took some recipes to France. King Louis XIV, fond of drinks, enjoyed an amber liqueur and aniseed, lower leg and musk.
It is a strong and sweet drink, and is usually drunk as a digestive, or even to add to your recipes.
