Apple Afternoon w/ Chocolate Liqueur with Piri-Piri
Ingredients:
- 1 roll of fresh puff pastry;
- 4 apples;
- 1 tablespoon of maple syrup (agave, honey or brown sugar);
- 2 class M eggs;
- 2 tablespoons of Chocolate Liqueur with Piri-Piri ;
- Cinnamon and ginger powder, to taste
Ingredients for finishing:
- 1 handful of arbutus (or raspberries, blueberries, currants...);
- Chocolate Liqueur with Piri-Piri .
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 180º C.
- Line a deep pie dish with the puff pastry.
- Prick the bottom of the dough with a fork.
- Place in the oven for 10 minutes.
- Wash the apples and cut into medium-thick wedges.

- In a bowl, mix the eggs, maple syrup, liqueur, ginger and cinnamon powder to taste.
- Remove the dough from the oven and arrange the apples, pour over the egg mixture.
- Bake for around 30 minutes, until the puff pastry is golden and the apple is baked.
- Decorate with the arbutus (roasted they look very ugly, I recommend adding them only at the end).
- Brush generously with the liqueur.
