Chocolicor is a departure from the stereotype, the typical, the conventional. Instead, this family-owned company that produces liqueurs (and more) produces the most creative versions of these alcoholic beverages. The new bottled flavor is the one most associated with summer: the Berliner balls.
This new liqueur, launched in June, is a limited edition, so if you want to try it, hurry up and order one or more bottles. The 200ml bottle costs €14 and the 500ml bottle costs €20. They recommend wetting the rim of the glass and covering it with sugar to get the best experience.
"The liqueur that tastes like summer" should be served chilled. Creamy, it smells like egg custard and has an alcohol content of 16%. It can be purchased through the website , like the rest of the products from this family business, which are no less delicious or innovative than this limited edition.
Located in Caldas da Rainha, Chocolicor has been in existence for over 30 years, during which time it has been perfecting the recipes for the typically Portuguese liqueurs that it produces sustainably and always using artisanal methods.
The website, which contains delicious recipes, also sells products such as ginja, chocolate cups and biscuits. Some of the items are sold in cheaper packs, such as the one that combines salted caramel liqueur with tiramisu (for €32.50) or the one that combines pastel de nata liqueur and rice pudding liqueur (also €32.50).
